Red Clover

2 oz.

Red clover is a perennial flowering plant that belongs to the legume family. It is native to Europe, Asia, and Africa but has been naturalized in many other parts of the world Some potential benefits of red clover include:

Hormonal Balance: Red clover contains phytoestrogens, including isoflavones such as genistein and daidzein, which can help balance hormone levels in the body. It is often used to alleviate symptoms of menopause, such as hot flashes, night sweats, and mood swings, by mimicking the effects of estrogen in the body.

Blood Purification: Red clover is known for its blood-purifying properties. It helps stimulate the lymphatic system and promote the elimination of toxins from the blood, making it beneficial for conditions such as acne, eczema, and psoriasis. Regular consumption of red clover tea may help improve overall skin health and complexion.

Respiratory Support: Red clover has expectorant and antitussive properties that can help alleviate respiratory conditions such as coughs, bronchitis, and asthma. It helps loosen mucus, soothe irritated throat tissues, and reduce coughing, making it easier to expel phlegm and congestion.

Antioxidant Activity: Red clover is rich in antioxidants, including flavonoids and phenolic compounds, which help protect cells from damage caused by free radicals. Antioxidants support immune function, reduce inflammation, and lower the risk of chronic diseases such as heart disease, cancer, and diabetes.

Directions: add one teaspoon of red clover to hot water. Steep for 5 to 10 minutes. Strain and enjoy.
